C. Elliott Easterly IV:
Guitarist
Born, raised, and educated (save college) in Tennessee, Elliott has played guitar since 1986. His influence includes Classical guitar, progressive rock and the early jazz-fusion known as jazz-rock. It's not unheard of to hear little bits of Zappa, Garcia, McLaughlin, Hendrix, and others sprinkled throughout his playing. During primary and middle school he played trombone and tuba and elected to play the upright double bass for a college wind ensemble. In 2000 Elliott played in a psychedelic rock cover band out of Columbia, SC. Shortly thereafter he led a short-lived Knoxville progressive rock group, "Escape". In late 2001 he moved to San Francisco and played periodically with David Jayne's ad hoc improvisational group, "Neurohumors". In the summer of 2003, Elliott was drafted by Carleton for Ohm Powah after jam sessions at Skip's Tavern in Bernal Heights.
"I look forward to recording with, gigging with, and learning from my bandmates, each of whom has undeniable talent and hearty experience."
